How do refrigerated containers work ?
Refrigerated containers, also named reefer containers, are containers specifically designed for the transport of perishable goods in temperature-controlled environment. They are equipped with latest technologies to regulate temperature, atmosphere or humidity levels.

Which products are suitable for refrigerated containers ?
Our refrigerated containers are specifically designed for all perishable goods that require a temperature-controlled environment, such as fruits, vegetables or frozen foods.

In perishables logistics, planning is everything. One can set up the perfect production line yet struggle with delivering quality if the product loses freshness on the way to the market. That’s why, in the case of segments with brief shelf lives, supply chains must be primed for resilience, product longevity, disruption management and efficient collaboration.

To help you find the best fit for your products, we have prepared a guide that enumerates the most common challenges in refrigerated cargo logistics, across various commodities and determine the best ways of moving them safely, with minimum hassle.

-The key is to allow proper air circulation and flow-through so that heat, vapour, COz, and other gasses produced by the respiration process from chilled perishable products can be removed.

-Proper packaging such as packaging style and package material is necessary to support stacking weight and sustainability at various humidity levels.

-Any packaging accessory like shrink-wrap, slip sheets, foam trays and plastic bags which can block or obstruct air passage should not be used.

-Proper air passage on the package, including proper size/number/places of ventholes on cartons, is needed to allow refrigerated air to circulate through all the cargo in the container.

-Proper stuffing is required to allow refrigerated air to circulate through the package material and throughout the entire load.

-If the cargo cannot cover an entire floor, cardboard can be used to cover empty spaces to allow for smooth refrigerated airflow.

-There must be no stowage above the indicated red line on the container walls to avoid impeding return air flow.

-As the frozen cargo should have been appropriately pre-cooled to the desired temperature before loading, air circulation should be aimed at blocking and preventing heat penetration from outside the container.

-The entire floor should be evenly loaded and covered.

-Proper corner support of cartons or pallets is needed due to the weight and loading pressure.

-Stowage must be kept below the red-line to avoid air circulation blockage. The key is to allow air circulation around the cargo.

-Ventilation and dehumidification must be set to”Off”. Drain port must be “Closed”.

-Solid block stowage, leaving no space between the packages or cartons, is preferred to avoid hot pot or short-circuiting.

Chilled cargo is highly perishable premium food which can gradually ripen during shipment.

In this illustration, the degree of air flow through the cargo is largely dependent upon the stuffing pattern at the door.

If frozen cargo is pre-cooled to the correct carrying temperature, it is only necessary for air to circulate around the periphery of the load. A block stow, i.e., one that has no deliberate spacing between any of the packages or pallets, is all that is required. However, it is necessary to ensure that air can circulate under, over and to each side and end of the stow.

How can we define a door-to-door service?

A door-to-door service is the most complete transfer solution, because all the steps are handled by only one entity, your freight forwarder. Thereby, INFINITE ILS can take the full process in charge in Vietnam and in your country. You don’t have to hire a local forwarder to accomplish the national part of the transfer. This is what an “All-inclusive” freight service means.

This service is very flexible. Indeed, you can choose the pickup place of your goods:

• At your supplier’s facilities
• At the port or airport of departure…

You decide where your goods will be brought:

• In your facilities
• At the terminal of the port or airport of arrival
• At your client’s address…

Of course, we can organize this service on the opposite way, from your country to Vietnam.

Door-to-door delivery is giving 2 major advantages:

The first is that you will be implied the least possible. You can spend your saved time doing what you do the best and let your freight forwarder handle the whole transfer for you.

The second is that by centralizing the responsibility of the entire process, you don’t have to communicate to several forwarders, that are partially managing the transfer. This enable to avoid risks of misunderstanding, and unpredicted added costs. Indeed, you will only pay one bill, integrating all the transport phases of your goods.

How does a door to door solution differ from a conventional freight forwarder service?

The customer will benefit from a door to door service and will, therefore, have no steps to manage. Even during the customs clearance process, we will be your eyes and your mouth to declare your goods at customs. Note that you can be contacted by our import department in order to pay the potential duties and taxes which will allow your goods to be released and delivered.

If your goods are measuring less than 1 CBM and 150 kgs, you can benefit of our express door-to-door services. Hence, we will send your shipment with the greatest express companies, like FedEx, TNT, DHL or UPS.

Why should I send my parcel through your services in express, instead of doing it myself?

This question is legitimate, and the answer isn’t complicated. Simply because you will benefit of our privileged relations with this companies, as we’re giving them a great volume of business. This enables us to have preferential rates for their services. Thereby, the rates we will provide you will be lower than if you’re directly contacting them.

Port-to-Door delivery service refers to pick up items at the airport (airport)/port (freight terminal) and deliver to the designated places (Warehouse/Factory Warehouse/Residential/Business Address) which is decided by the shipper or consignee.

We will closely monitor all the shipping process and make sure your cargo will be delivered safely and on schedule. If customer requires additional survey of the shipment we may arrange sending certified surveyor to the cargo location. Survey fee will apply.
